Not sure if this is the correct solution to #53, but figured I'd share if helpful. I.e. I'm not sure whether it might have some undesired side effects.
This implementation does still respect the setting of field name overrides, variable interpolation, etc. It just sets the field name by simply setting
field.name, rather thanfield.config.displayName.
