Assets is now a popup in the toolbar.

It's not a bad idea... it works. Let me think about it as it doesn't really free any panel as the Properties and Queue are still there... |
No rush on this one, we don't need to have this included in 1.0.
It's a start (the same could also be done with the queue). But it does free space if you preferer narrow sidebar: It's also quicker to access, instead of moving the mouse to where the tabs are, click queue, move up to asset and drag it to the viewer. |

works good on fast workflows could get messy for more complex project with lots of assets |

Sure, that's why I have not merged this yet. For me this is a better worflow, but I don't use many assets (if at all). I'm open for suggestions to "solve" the assets UI/UX for v1.1. |

Either way it would be nice to include in the Assets panel the Scenes as someone suggested some days ago. They are not very discoverable and they can be linked so it's a nice idea to have them somewhere and the best place would be here. |

I hate wasting space and the assets tab is IMHO annoying, why not just a button in the toolbar?
Click to get a popup with assets, you can drag-and-drop on the button.
This is a suggestion, please try and give feedback:
