Summary

Adds free-web-search-ultimate to the community MCP servers list.

About the server

free-web-search-ultimate is a zero-cost, API-key-free MCP server for real-time web search. Unlike most search MCP servers (Tavily, Brave, Exa, etc.) that require paid API keys, this server works out of the box with no configuration.

Key features:

  • Zero cost — no API key required
  • Multi-engine support: DuckDuckGo, Bing, Google, Brave, Yahoo
  • Content types: web, news, images, videos
  • Python-based, installable via PyPI
  • v13.0.0 — internationalized codebase with Google-style docstrings

Install:

pip install free-web-search-ultimate

Thanks for your contribution!

We are no longer accepting PRs to add new servers to the README. The server lists are deprecated and will eventually be removed entirely, replaced by the registry.

👉 To add a new MCP server: Please publish it to the MCP Server Registry instead. You can browse published servers at registry.modelcontextprotocol.io.

👉 If this PR updates or removes an existing entry: We do still accept these changes. Please reply with /i-promise-this-is-not-a-new-server to continue.

If this PR is adding a new server, please close it and submit to the registry instead.
