Find the Minimum Element in a Rotated Array(sorted) (find-min-in-rotated.py)

Remember, the student's solution is written in Python, while the reference is in Java. But the logic should be comparable.

Let's begin.

Find the Peak Element (find-peak-element.py)

Your solution is excellent! It correctly implements a binary search to find a peak element with logarithmic time and constant space. The code is concise and easy to understand.

One minor point: while your solution is correct and efficient, it might be helpful to add a brief comment explaining why the algorithm works. For instance, you could note that because the array boundaries are considered as negative infinity, and since adjacent elements are distinct, if you are at a point where the right neighbor is larger, there must be a peak to the right (because the array eventually decreases to -inf). Similarly, if the right neighbor is smaller, then the current element might be a peak (if the left is also smaller) or there might be a peak to the left. However, by setting right = mid, you are including the current element as a candidate, which is safe because if it is not a peak, the left part must have one.

Overall, this is a great solution. Keep up the good work!

VERDICT: PASS
