Thanks man! This PR should be against https://github.com/rust-bitcoin/rust-miniscript and the change log needs to be filled with any interesting changes since the last release - this is the hard/tedious bit to do and why I suggested you take a crack at it if you were super keen for a release :)

On the other hand, 7.1.0 is ok or must be 8.0.0?

It depends on what is in the release and semver rules, I do not know what has been done in rust-miniscript since last release without going through all the PRs.

Ok, I updated the CHANGELOG with what i saw in the PRs. I see too that other updatings of MSRV or rust-bitcoin version updated the main number in the version so I will do it.
