General

This software is designed for Pixie-4 and Pixie Hybrid (4-16-250, 4-14-100). It is based on the Pixie-4 Express
software. This means settings files and data formats are compatible with the Pixie-4 Express software (Pixie Viewer
version 4.xx), not the Pixie-4 software (Pixie Viewer version 2.xx). However, the software does support data
acquisition in Pixie-4 data format (run type 0x100) for backwards compatibility with both Pixie-4 and Pixie Hybrid.
The Pixie-4 firmware in this release has been updated to work with the same settings files as the Pixie Hybrid, but does
not support newer run types (0x400).

Compatibility notice

1. Pixie-500 is no longer actively supported!
2. This version is only compatible with the Pixie-4 hardware revisions C, D, and E.
3. This is the last version that supports legacy data and settings formats for the Pixie-4

Release Notes

• Updated PLX drivers to version 7.1, for compatibility with Windows 10.
• Updated serial number decoding for Rev. E modules > 700. New modules will work ok with older code, but their reported s/n will be off by 270.
