Summary

The web editor's publish flow now supports full branch and pull request workflows instead of placeholder buttons.

  • Updated the publishing workflows table to reflect actual behavior: protected deployment branches prompt branch creation, feature branches without protections offer optional PR creation
  • Added documentation for the new publish menu actions: Publish, Save in branch, Create branch, and Create pull request
  • Added new "Review and merge pull requests" section documenting PR review status tracking and in-editor merging

Note

Low Risk
Documentation-only update clarifying publish behavior across branch protection scenarios; no product logic or data handling changes.

Overview
Updates editor/publish.mdx to reflect the editor’s updated publishing behavior across deployment vs feature branches and branch protection settings, including revised workflow descriptions and table outcomes.

Documents the new publish menu actions (Publish, Save in branch, Create branch, Create pull request) and adds guidance for viewing PR status and merging/publishing approved pull requests from within the editor.
